Why is it whenever you watch iron Chef or any other cooking show, virtually every dish they make?

Your talking about people that are well educated in international cuisine, which is not necessarily to the american palate liking. I agree a good deal of it looks discusting to me also, but they sure can make it look pretty don’t they?

The same reason the fashion clothes business uses models built like starving ethiopians. It is designed to be outrageously different but not really something to be worn or eaten by REAL people. Your question was hilarious though.

OMG – you are so right!!! Also why do they always serve all that raw meat – UGH! And – they stick there fingers into all the food, tasting it, etc. It is revolting to watch, but I just HAVE to watch it like a train wreck. LOL
You could not pay me enough money to be one of those judges having to taste that S*it!
